Injection Packers Manufacturer in China
Injection packers are essential tools that are used in high-pressure injection grouting applications across civil engineering, construction, and geotechnical projects. They are designed for the injection of polyurethane, epoxy, acrylate, or microfine cement, ensuring accurate material delivery into concrete cracks, masonry voids, and subsurface formations. Whether applied for waterproofing basements and tunnels, sealing structural cracks, or strengthening underground foundations, injection packers provide reliable performance and long-lasting results. Available in various types—including mechanical, surface-mounted, and inflatable types—they can meet the demands of diverse jobsite conditions.
At RUBOR, we can build custom injection packers to meet your specific specifications. Different materials, diameters, lengths, and valve locations can be customized depending on your detailed requirements. Our injection packers are manufactured from high-strength steel, aluminum, and reinforced plastic, and non-return valves to prevent grout backflow. With pressure resistance up to 500 bar (7,250 psi) and a variety of thread options (such as M6, M8, and M10 etc. ). These injection packers are widely used by contractors, engineers, and infrastructure specialists. They are also a vital component of any injection system, ensuring consistent performance in both above-ground and below-ground applications.
Injection Packers Application
When a structure has **water leakage, cracks, voids, loosened concrete, or unstable soil**. We should use injection packers to inject chemical grouting materials to fix them. The injection packers are commonly applied in **basements, tunnels, bathrooms, water tanks, retaining walls, and other underground structures** to stop leaks. When **active water seepage** occurs and surface waterproofing cannot solve the problem, high-pressure injection of polyurethane or acrylate through injection packers can seal the area from the inside. They are also essential when concrete or soil has **loose or honeycombed sections** that require epoxy or cement grout to restore structural strength.

Injection Packers
An injection packer is a device used to inject chemical grouting materials, such as epoxy or polyurethane (PU), acrylate gel, and microfine cement into cracks in concrete and other substrates. It is for crack injection and leak sealing. It is typically a metal or plastic port, it is installed into a hole and creates a seal to allow pressure to be build up, so the material can be forced deep into the cracks.
What Is An Injection Packer
Components and Structure of Injection Packers
Injection packers are precision-engineered devices used to inject grouting materials—such as polyurethane, epoxy, or cement—into cracks, joints, or voids in concrete structures. Each packer consists of several key components that work together to ensure effective sealing, high-pressure resistance, and reliable injection performance.
1. Body (Steel or Aluminum Tube)
The body serves as the central component of the packer, typically constructed from carbon steel, stainless steel, or aluminum alloy. It provides the structural integrity needed to withstand high injection pressures and acts as the conduit through which grout is delivered.
Steel mechanical injection packers: Offer high-pressure capacity and long-term durability.
Aluminum injection packers: Lightweight and easy to install, ideal for lower-pressure applications.
2. Rubber Sleeve (Sealing Element)
The rubber sleeve surrounds the body and expands when tightened or hammered into place, forming a secure seal against the borehole wall.
Made of natural rubber (NR) or neoprene (CR) to ensure elasticity and chemical resistance.
Prevents grout leakage during injection.
Provides effective sealing even in wet or irregular holes.
3. Washer and Expansion Nut
In mechanical injection packers, the expansion nut and washer work in tandem to compress the rubber sleeve when tightened. This action securely anchors the packer in the drilled hole and ensures a leak-free connection to the structure.
4. Ball Valve or Non-Return Valve (Check Valve)
Mounted at the front of the packer, the check valve permits one-way grout flow into the structure while preventing backflow.
Typically made of steel or brass, incorporating an internal steel ball and spring mechanism.
Enables controlled injection and safe pressure release after grouting.
5. Injection Head (Grease Nipple / Zerk Fitting)
The injection head, also referred to as a button head or grease fitting, connects the injection hose or coupler from the grout pump. It provides a secure, quick-connect point for high-pressure grout injection.
Standard thread sizes include M6, M8, M10, or 1/4″.
Compatible with common grouting system couplers such as grease or button head couplers.
6. End Cap or Plug (Optional)
Some packers are equipped with an end cap or sealing plug to close the injection port after use, preventing material backflow. This feature is particularly useful in projects that require multiple or sequential injections.
Injection Packers Working Principle
The injection packers, also known as the grouting nozzles, use high-pressure chemical grouting technology to stop leaks. The principle is to use the continuous high pressure generated by the injection grouting machine (injection pump) to inject chemical materials, such as polyurethane and epoxy resin into the internal gaps of the concrete, completely squeezing out the water in the gaps and filling them up, thereby achieving efficient water stopping and ensuring the waterproof performance of the building structure.
How to Use Injection Packers
Locate and Mark Cracks
For damp substrates, we should remove any hydrops from the surface. Once the substrate is thoroughly cleaned and slightly dried, please carefully inspect for cracks and mark their full length using a colored pen or chalk.
As regards the dry substrates, we should use an air pump or blower to remove surface dust so that we can accurately identify the cracks.
Drilling Holes
Based on the thickness of the concrete structure, we should drill holes at a distance of approximately 15–35 mm from the cracks, spaced alternately on both sides along its length.
To ensure the effective convergence of grout injected from adjacent holes within the crack, it is essential to determine the appropriate hole spacing based on site conditions. We generally recommend an initial spacing of 300 mm.
The hole diameter should match the type of injection packer used. For example, when we use diameter 13mm injection packers, we typically require 14 mm drill bits.
Drill at an angle of 45° to 60° to the surface, intersecting the crack at mid-depth (one-third of the slab thickness).
Install the Injection Packers
The injection packer is a critical component in the injection process, responsible for delivering grout materials into cracks. To install the injection packers, utilize an appropriate tool and tighten it securely until the rubber sleeve compresses firmly against the borehole wall. It is essential to ensure a tight seal between the rubber section of the injection packers and the hole to prevent any leakage during the injection process.
Sealing After Injection and Site Management
Upon completion of grouting and after the material has initially cured, all injection packers shall be removed. The vacant holes shall be sealed with non-shrink mortar or an epoxy patching compound to reinstate structural integrity and surface aesthetics.
All waste materials, including the used injection packers and grouting equipment, must be collected and disposed of in compliance with applicable environmental regulations and project specifications.
Finally, all the debris should be cleared from the work area, and the completion of grouting operations shall be properly documented.
Injection Packers Types and Features
Diverse Types:
We offer four distinct types of injection packers: brass, aluminum, steel, and plastic. The first three types are designed as ring pressure devices that operate on the principle of ring pressure fastening. A one-way stop valve is installed at the head to effectively prevent chemical grouting materials from flowing back under high pressure. The ring pressure expansion component utilizes a rubber sleeve with a diameter of 13mm, which fits into a grouting hole measuring 14mm in diameter. By tightening the ring pressure bolts, the rubber sleeve is compressed, securely anchoring the grouting nozzle within the grouting hole. The plastic injection packers offer easy installation; for certain models, they can be directly tapped into place within the grouting hole.
